- Do you offer in studio portraits?

Yes, while the vast majority of our photography is done outside, we do offer the option of in studio photography for individuals and small groups when booking a private Lifestyle, Senior or Corporate portrait sessions.
- Do you photograph weddings?

Yes, we do occasionally photograph weddings. Please contact us at 802-877-6999 or cs@amvphotography.com for more details and pricing.
- What are your COVID protocols?

We follow all Vermont State Covid guidelines. Your safety and comfort are our number one concern. The majority of our sessions are outdoors. And the photographer naturally maintains a distance of at least 6 feet from subjects. Our primary photographer, Ann-Marie is fully vaccinated. However, if you are more comfortable, our photographers will wear masks at all times, even if they are vaccinated. We do not expect you to wear a mask while being photographed. While photographing schools and sports teams all state guidelines for interaction with students will be observed and all school/team safety rules will be followed. Our photographers will wear masks while photographing all Enlightened Kids events, unless given permission by the school or league not too.
- How do I register for a session?

You can schedule and pay for a session on our website. Registration for all of our programs can be found under each departments services section. If you purchase a private 1 hour-long Lifestyle, Senior or Basin Harbor session, please fill out the form with your preferred date and location. We cannot guarantee availability but we will do our best to accommodate you. If we are unable to schedule something with you your session fee will be refunded.
- Do you guarantee your work?

Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. If you are not satisfied with a service or product we will reshoot or reprint at no extra cost to you, or you will receive a full refund.
- What if it rains?

We do not have a strict rain policy because everyone feels differently about photographing in the rain. For our mini sessions, we send out a confirmation email the day prior to the event and it will include details about what the forecast holds. Our private sessions are welcome to reach out to us if they are concerned about the weather. We may also reach out to you in advance if the forecast is looking questionable. If it is calling for rain you have a few options: you can reschedule for another date, wait until the last minute and see what happens, or if it's just a light rain we can go for it. Most of our locations have some covered areas and there is nothing cuter than kids with umbrellas! As always, your satisfaction is guaranteed. You will receive a full refund if not satisfied. Even due to weather.
- Do you have clothing suggestions?

As far as clothing goes, the simpler the better. We recommend solid colors and no wording or large patterns. For groups we suggest having everyone in your group stick to one color family or tone, such as different shades of blue or all pastel tones or all jewel tones etc.
- Do you photograph pets?

Pets are welcome at all of our Lifestyle, Seniors and Basin Harbor sessions. Due to extremely tight time constraints, we DO NOT allow pets at any of our Enlightened Kids sessions, including our After School Specials.
- How do I view my images?

A few days after your session you will be sent a link and password to your personal gallery on our website so you can view your images and place an order. If your child was photographed with a school or team the information will be sent to the teacher or coach for communication with families.
- Can I purchase digital images?

Yes, all of our services include the option to purchase digital images or products. We offer instant digital downloads of individual images, small and large batches of images, and entire digital sessions that include every image from your session, and digital slide shows. - What is retouching?

All of our images are edited and color balanced, meaning we go through and choose the best images and enhance them. Retouching corrects blemishes and imperfections on the subject and the cost is based on the number of subjects to be retouched. Feel free to give us specific instructions in the comments section of your order.
- How long will it take to receive my order?

Direct digital downloads are available for you to download immediately after purchase. All other online orders will be mailed to your address within 3 weeks. Preschool and sports orders placed using the paper order forms that are submitted on Photo Day will be delivered back to the organization for distribution within 3 weeks of Photo Day.
- How long will my gallery be active for?

Galleries are available online until early the next calendar year. We run an “events to expire” sale at the beginning of each year before we remove the previous year’s galleries from our website. We archive all of our old images and we hold an archiving sale each spring for clients to purchase images from past years.
- Do you have sales?

Yes, we do run a few sales throughout the year. We always hold 20% off sales for Black Friday and when galleries are about to expire from our website. In the spring we also hold a 50% off all digital items sale and a 20% off old archived images sale. We may run others so stay tuned to our newsletter for special offers!
Senior Portrait Questions
- How do I submit my yearbook image?

Simply email us which image you would like to use for the yearbook one week prior to your schools deadline. We will retouch the image and send it directly to your school.
Basin Harbor Questions
- Do I need to be a basin harbor guest?

Yes, to sign up for a photo service at basin harbor, you need to be a guest staying on property or a social member. We do offer Basin Harbor as a location 3 times a year for our Weekend and Senior Specials.
Enlightened Kids Questions
- How do I book a session?
-
School and sports photography is arranged by the organization. Please fill out the form at the end of the Enlightened Kids section to request information that you can give to your school or team’s director. If you are a director feel free to contact us at 802-877-6999 or cs@amvphotography.com to learn more about how we can capture your organization. We are happy to help.
Our After School Specials sittings are on a first come, first served basis. Sign in when you arrive and your children will be photographed in that order. Please see the After School Special section under Enlightened Kids for current dates and locations, but you DO NOT need to register ahead of time for After School Specials.
- How do I know which day my child is photographed on?

The order in which students are photographed is determined by the school so please refer to the communications sent home by your school for more information.
- Do you photograph students who don’t attend the school?

We do offer sibling photography at our school sessions. More information will be sent home by the school about how to sign up for sibling portraits.
- Is a group portrait included?
-
For schools, a complimentary class portrait will be included with your order when you purchase a photo package using one of our paper order forms that are submitted on Photo Day. No complimentary class portraits are included with online package orders.
For sports teams, a team portrait is not included unless the team or league decides to purchase team portraits for the players.
- What is the difference between the paper order forms and online ordering?

The paper order forms that are submitted on Photo Day offer our lowest prices because we are able to place these orders in bulk so we can offer discounted pricing. However, you DO NOT get to choose which image your order is fulfilled with. Your order will be fulfilled with the child’s traditional pose which is the first image you see of your child in the gallery after their class portrait.
Online ordering offers more choice and flexibility to select your image and order multiple images. The pricing is higher because we have to place these orders individually, but we offer a 25% off discount for the first 2 weeks after your gallery is launched. We also offer a larger selection of products online.
